Cynthia Weiss website on Apple Studio Display

Client: Cynthia Weiss
Platform: Squarespace
Role: Art Direction, Design & Copywriting

  • Cynthia had a website that was built many years ago. It appeared very small in browsers and wasn’t responsive. She had much more recent work to display, but it didn’t seem worth updating due to the state of the site.

Cynthia wanted to use Squarespace as she liked their templates and planned to make her own updates in the future.

  • After discussing the goals and tone of the site, I presented Cynthia with 3 template options. She chose one, provided a folder of images and we were off to the races! We decided to organize her work into 4 portfolios, showcasing the various types of art she produces. She submitted images and captions for each section. We met frequently to review and make edits until she was completely satisfied.

  • Cynthia’s completed website is now modern and clean which allows her artwork to shine. It highlights her accomplishments and provides a window into her process of collaborating with other artists.

Our focus on organization makes clear that Cynthia is an experienced working artist and art educator.
